Planning
Overview
To build on Creator Studio, you'll want to have the following resources in place:
- An idea tracker to scope & prioritize use cases
- An project plan to define & document exactly how your use cases will be built
- A delivery schedule to track development blockers and make sure your use case makes it to production.
To help you with this process, we’ve created a number of assets to keep you on track. We recommend you create internal versions of these that you can adapt to YOUR business process.
Spreadsheets / Docs are a good start, but over time, you'll want this content to live in a proper project management tool like the following:
- Jira Projects
- Asana Boards
- Github Projects
- ServiceNow Ideas
- Azure DevOps
- Notion
How to Implement a Creator Studio Guide
- Skim through a Creator Studio Guide ( example ), and decide if you want to engage Moveworks Professional Services to help you build this use case.
-
Share and align on the
Conversation Design
experience with your Business Process Owner (for example: HR Business Partner for
Request Time Off
). Their alignment is important to build a useful plugin for your employees.
- Optional: Ask discovery questions inside a Creator Studio guide to customize the conversation design to better fit your teams needs.
-
(optional)
Share the configuration instructions for a guide with your security team. Security may be required to approve the access needs to build this use case.
- This step is not required if your security team has authorized Moveworks to connect with Workday and similar business systems
-
(optional)
: Share the Moveworks
Terms of Service
and
Privacy Policy
with your legal team. They may be required to approve these two documents to build a Workday Plugin.
- This step is not required if your legal team has authorized Moveworks to connect with Workday and similar business systems
-
Ask your Business Systems Administrator and Business Systems Engineer to follow the configuration instructions inside a guide to share the required API credentials with you with required permissions and configuration.
- Note: your Business System Engineer will provide staging and production credentials for development.
- Capture these requirements in a project plan template like below , so that all cross-functional stakeholders have a consistent experience they will be building
- Finally, ask your Creator Studio developer to import and build the plugin with Creator Studio. They will develop and launch first in the sandbox environment, and then in the production environment.
