Problem

Employees miss important FYIs over email & end up asking questions about them later.

What does this pattern do?

Send a highly visible alert to users with no action required.

iPaaS: Polls for usage against an outages table. When an outage is marked as resolved, it notifies all users affected about the resolved outage.

Entire message is crafted and delivered by the iPaaS.

Design time

  • Must send to user DMs (not channels)
  • Must use our chat markup language (compatible across all surfaces)

Run time

  • Bot will not have context about the notification if notified
